Tools for the days between sessions.

Track what memory misses.

AfterTherapy helps practitioners see what happens between sessions — not just what a client remembers in the room. Client-shared patterns, reflections, and progress arrive in one organized view, with no AI interpreting client experiences. Your judgment stays at the centre of care.

AfterTherapy is not a crisis service. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.

Inside the app

The client app on their phone. Your dashboard on your desk.

They log during the week, choose what to share, and you review it before the session. Here's what that looks like in the app.

Clients log the week, on their phone.

Check-ins take a minute. Homework you assign arrives in the app. Journaling is there when something needs to get out of their head. It all stays private until they choose to share it with you.

That was the short version. The full experience is a working prototype you can walk through yourself, from either side of the session.

How it works

Built to support the work you're already doing.

It makes the week between sessions part of the work you do together.

1

You invite the client

Send a secure invite and choose which tools this client can access, based on what's right for them.

2

They log during the week

Quick check-ins, homework, journaling, screeners, at their own pace, whenever something comes up. After a heavy session, grounding tools help them ride it out.

3

They choose what to share

Everything stays private until they decide to share it. Nothing reaches you without an explicit choice, so what you do see is something they wanted you to see.

4

You walk in prepared

Open the Client Pattern Overview before the appointment: mood, sleep, homework, and screener trends, organized so patterns and changes stand out. AfterTherapy organizes what a client shares; you interpret it. No spending the first twenty minutes reconstructing last week.

For Clients

A private, low-pressure space to log the week. Mood, sleep, journaling, homework, on their own terms. What reaches you is always their choice.

For Practitioners

Walk into every session knowing what actually happened this week. Mood, sleep, homework, and screener trends, organized before the appointment begins, ready to review.

Free while they wait

Your clients wait weeks before session one. There's a free version for that.

Support While You Wait is a free, minimal version of AfterTherapy for the gap between someone reaching out and their first appointment. A gentle journal, a simple daily check-in, grounding tools, and a place for their questions.

We believe mental health care should be accessible for everyone, so this version is completely free to help during wait times. It works with no practitioner on the other end, so people can start before care begins. It's the same AfterTherapy platform in its free starting mode — not a separate product. What they write stays theirs, and carries over into your work together only if they choose.

Care coordination

Export a PDF for coordinated care.

A client deserves to be accurately heard and understood throughout the healthcare system, not just in the therapy room. So we made it easy. Pick a client and a date range, and check-ins, homework completion, and screener scores become one clean clinical summary for any provider on the case. The client approves what goes out, every time.

Security & trust

Boundaries, by design.

You lead the therapy. The software works quietly around it.

Not a crisis service icon

Not a crisis service

AfterTherapy is a companion tool, used on your clients' schedule. Every screen carries a prominent reminder pointing to emergency services, because safety comes before anything we build.

Consent toggle icon

Consent-based sharing

Sharing is always an explicit choice. Always opt-in. Always reversible. Your clients stay in charge of what you see, so what reaches you is something they wanted you to see.

Shield icon

Privacy-aware by default

Built with HIPAA-ready principles for the US and PIPEDA / provincial health privacy awareness for Canada. Formal legal review is required before any clinical deployment. We won't skip that step.

Secure communication icon

Boundaries, built in

A protected channel for notes, homework, and check-in summaries, purpose-built for the therapeutic relationship. Notifications respect off-hours, and clients have a dedicated space to hold their thoughts instead of expecting an instant reply at 11pm on a Tuesday.

No automated interpretation icon

No diagnosis. No automation.

The clinical judgment is always yours. What you see is exactly what your client entered, organized and ready for your interpretation.
